Carrier to Supply 7-Eleven in UAE
DUBAI – Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Middle East has won a contract to supply refrigeration equipment for 7-Eleven franchise stores which are due to open in the UAE later this year. 7-Eleven, which is the world’s largest convenience retailer with more than 56,000 stores in 16 countries, has signed a master franchise agreement with Seven Emirates Investment LLC aimed at developing and operating 7-Eleven stores in the UAE, a first for the Middle East region.
“We are proud to have been selected for this world-class chain of 7-Eleven convenience stores in the UAE,” declared Tamas Hajagos, the managing director of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, Middle East Exports. “Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Middle East is committed to enhancing refrigeration with sustainable products and processes, and enhancing merchandising through technological innovation.”
“Carrier’s products are in line with the requirements of a leading retailer like 7-Eleven and will allow us to bring innovative solutions to the region,” commented the president of Seven Emirates Investment, Khamis Al Sabousi,. “Our stores will keep up to the standard of the franchise and the consumer will be able to find all daily requirements in 7-Eleven stores.”
The first 7-Eleven branded stores are expected to open in Dubai in September 2015, and are due to be fitted with a range of Carrier refrigerated display cabinets including Optimer multideck cabinets and Premor island cabinets. These cabinets are, Carrier claim, noted for their larger display area, an improved space footprint and lower energy consumption whilst still maintaining the customer’s corporate image. Carrier boasts an extensive refrigeration service network in the region that is capable of responding to customers’ emergency service needs 24/7, the company states.
