Pollutec event attracts record numbers
FRANCE – As previously reported, the Pollutec Salon was held in Lyon at the end of November. Having had time to take stock after the trade show, the organizers claim that the 2016 edition was a success and that positive developments emerged from this year’s show. In total 2026 exhibitors came to Lyon to present their solutions in all fields connected to the environment, with the HVAC industry being particularly well-represented.
Of all the exhibitors, 613 were from the international market, specifically from 33 different countries. Thus, 60,834 visitors visited the Eurexpo aisles between 29 November and 2 December, including 8,669 international visitors, representing 14% of all visitors.
In the opinion of the organizers, it is once again innovation that has proven to be the big winner of the fair. As in every year, innovations were honoured not only in the aisles and at the exhibitor stands, but also during conferences and awards ceremonies.
For example, Lancey were the worthy winners of the “Vitrine de l’innovation” award thanks to their energy storage radiator, alongside Waga Energy, who have developed the first industrial unit designed to produce Bio-pure methane from landfill biogas, and Fluidion, who have designed a microbiological analyzer capable of quantifying the presence of E-Coli in water and generating rapid alerts.
In the HVAC section, Eco Touch, an intelligent automaton that promises remarkable energy savings, was one of the most popular exhibits and attracted warm praise from both attendees and the awards juries.
After a well-attended and particularly busy 2016 edition, Pollutec have already announced that the next edition will take place from the 27th to the 30th of November in 2017.
