Danfoss president wins AHRI award
USA – At the conclusion of its annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) recognized John Galyen, president, Danfoss North America, with its Richard C. Schulze Award. The Richard C. Schulze Award is given for distinguished service and commitment to AHRI and the HVACR industry’s goals and objectives.
Galyen been an active member of AHRI for more than 15 years and has served in various leadership capacities. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as well as the Budget & Investment and Audit Committees. He also previously led the Compressors & Condensing Units Product Section.
“I am honored and humbled to have been selected for this award,” said Galyen. “I believe in the work that AHRI is doing to protect and advance the interests of the industry—particularly as we face new challenges and opportunities in the years ahead. It’s imperative that the industry convene through organizations like AHRI to work together for the greater good of our business.”
In addition to his active role in AHRI, Galyen was elected in 2015 to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Board of Governors.
Mr Galyen was presented with the Richard C. Schulze award by Doug Young, the 2016 chairman of AHRI as well as being the president and COO of Lennox International Residential Heating & Cooling, as seen in the picture above.
