Carrier Transicold France opens new Service Center in Brécé
FRANCE – Carrier Transicold France has underlined its ongoing commitment to offering high level expertise and quality for its customers by recently opening a new service center in Brécé, near Rennes. This new service center will cement Carrier Transicold’s reputation for service productivity with modern facilities and equipment and help to achieve the stated aim of improving global transport and shipping of temperature controlled cargoes.
Carrier Transicold is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp and has been present in the Rennes region since 1970. Carrier Transicold France’s new service center is strategically located in the Turbanière industrial area which is just 20 kilometers outside of Rennes and is situated in the heart of the food processing region, providing easy access to main roads. Carrier’s new facility comprises a 1,200 square metre building surrounded by a 3,000 square metre car park. The service center, which also has three vans and a replacement parts warehouse, will allow technicians to carry out all maintenance and service operations on-site and will also ensure increased responsiveness to customer calls. As part of this increased responsiveness, mobile service teams will be available 24 hours a day to rapidly intervene in the event of mechanical breakdowns.
Another interesting feature of the service centre is a temperature pull-down testing facility which will be used to certify the refrigeration capacity of Carrier Transicold units in accordance with A.T.P. (Perishable goods transport agreements) regulations. No stone is left unturned in an effort to to ensure that customers can deliver their temperature-sensitive loads on time and in optimum condition.
The facility will also include an equipment maintenance workshop which houses a team of 10 certified technicians, each possessing a broad range of skills combining refrigeration, engine and electrical expertise. These highly trained technicians help to ensure the operational efficiency of all Carrier Transicold refrigeration units and also guarantee the optimum cold chain protection possible.
“We are very pleased to be able to provide our customers with value-added service and support thanks to the high-quality facilities of our new Rennes/Brécé location and our dynamic service network,” declared Jean-Pascal Vielfaure, managing director of Carrier Transicold France. “With over 60 service points and approximately 250 technicians, customer care is a key priority for Carrier Transicold France and we consistently strive to not only meet – but exceed – our customers’ needs.”
