Lindab ready to acquire IMP Klima
SWEDEN – The ventilation products company Lindab is all set to buy the Slovenian air handling unit manufacturer Hidria IMP Klima.
IMP Klima’s business comprises products and solutions for ventilation and indoor climate, with a particular focus on air handling units and fans. Lindab hopes that the acquisition of IMP Klima will help further strengthen its ambition to develop its position as a complete supplier of ventilation and indoor climate solutions.
IMP Klima has its headquarters and conducts its principal business in Slovenia, where it has production units and a modern research and development centre, while production also takes place in Sarajevo, Bosnia. IMP Klima’s turnover totaled around €25.6m in 2014 and the business currently employs approximately 415 members of staff. The company’s primary markets are in the Balkans, Russia, Europe and the Middle East.
In a press release, Lindab’s President and CEO, Anders Berg, stated: “The air handling unit is an important part of a ventilation offering, which is why IMP Klima, characterised by high quality and great competence, forms a very important and welcome addition to Lindab’s business and adds strength within a number of areas other than air handling units as well. Furthermore, we strengthen our market position in several areas.”
