GERMANY – Swegon continue to push on in their drive to strengthen their position in the German market by today announcing an agreement to acquire the German distribution company Econdition.

Econdition is one of the leading distributors of data center and industrial cooling solutions in Germany. The company’s headquarters are located in Munich while it employs 40 staff and reported a turnover of approximately €14M last year. The acquisition is pending approval by German antitrust authorities and both companies expect the deal to be concluded by the end of the month.

The acquisition of Econdition is consistent with Swegon’s stated strategy of reinforcing its presence on the German market and the company hopes that the acquisition will increase Swegon’s sales within the cooling business and more particularly in the growing segment of data center cooling.

“Along with last years’ acquisition of Walter Meier (Klima Deutschland) GmbH, Econdition adds on to our already solid platform in Germany and at the same time brings us one step closer to our end customers”, declared Hannu Saastamoinen, CEO of Swegon.
