Carrier announce launch of home automation system
USA – Carrier today announced the forthcoming launch of their Côr smart home automation system, which they described as a powerful tool for homebuilders for cost-effective home security and automation. The company claim that the tool has been designed with flexibility and low cost for homebuilders in mind.
The system, which has been developed to enable homeowners to secure, control and remotely manage their home’s most critical systems via an intuitive mobile app, will be available on the market later this year, with the company targeting late April as the launch date. The company claim that the product marks a further step in Carrier’s commitment to delivering the “heart” of a smarter home, since the product provides homeowners with a single solution for connecting their home’s most important systems: heating and cooling, safety and security.
Having set up the tool, users will be able to manage connected devices, view live video of their home from connected cameras and remotely manage access from the system’s app. Additional features of the Côr home automation system are that it can be used to connect and automate over 64 sensors, 250 Z-Wave® enabled devices and 16 cameras in the home. The system is also designed give homeowners the choice of opting for self-home monitoring or upgrading to professional security monitoring.

Carrier also revealed that the Côr home automation system interfaces with innovative technology from three leading United Technologies brands, specifically Carrier, Interlogix (a leader in residential and commercial security) and Kidde, the world’s largest manufacturer of fire safety products.
