Climaveneta at the Euro 2016 championships
FRANCE – Today sees the kick off to the finals of the European Football Championships in France, where 24 teams will compete in 10 stages to get to the grand finale on July 10th. The Euro2016 championships will also feature Climaveneta technology at the games, with the company having installed several units in 3 different stadiums: the Atlantique stadium in Bordeaux, the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice and the historic home of French football and rugby at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The recently constructed Stade de Bordeaux is a new generation multifunctional stadium dedicated to sports and culture, which has an adaptable capacity of 42,000 seats and whose comfort is ensured by two Climaveneta units, which have been designed to combine the best internal temperature and humidity level, thus helping to reduce energy consumption and therefore the operating costs. The two Climaveneta units installed in the stadium are a NECS-N/CA 2416 reversible heat pump and a NECS-Q/CA 1816 multi-purpose unit which should assure maximum comfort all year round with impressive energy efficiency in this futuristic and emblematic stadium.
The Allianz Riviera in Nice first opened its doors in 2013 and has hosted the home matches of the Nice team since that time. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 seats and also houses the Museum of Sport, which is air-conditioned by a Climaveneta multi-purpose NECS-CQ / B / S 0704 heat pump.
The Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, on the other hand the, first hosted matches in 1972 but the stadium’s ultra-modern design for that time means that it still looks contemporary, even today. The structure of the stadium, which is capable of accommodating up to 48,500 people, has recently undergone renovations, including the installation of 2 Climaveneta ERACS2-Q / SL-CA in 2622 multi-purpose heat pumps which provide for the air conditioning of enclosed spaces both in summer and winter and for sanitary hot water production, with a total cooling capacity of 1194 kW and heating capacity of 1214 kW.
