Heatcraft wins awards medals
USA – Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration have maintained their record of award winning products by receiving both Silver and Bronze awards for product design excellence in the 12th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. These latest awards continue the period of success which began by the company winning the top Gold and Silver awards for the last two years. The awards were decided upon by an independent panel of contractors who recognized the Heatcraft Direct Drive fluid coolers, FN Models, as the Silver Winner, while awarding the Bronze Winner prize to Heatcraft Slim Contour Electric Defrost unit cooler. Both medals were awarded in the Refrigeration and Ice Machines category.
The publisher of The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News, Mike Murphy, declared, “These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions.”
Heatcraft state that their Direct Drive fluid cooler, FN models, have been designed to reduce installation and maintenance costs, while providing excellent performance, long service life and a wide range of capacities. The direct drive fluid coolers are available across a wide range of sizes and can be used in 1 to 12 fan configurations. In additional to this, the company also claim that the FN models feature multiple motor options to provide reduced sound and energy consumption. Heatcraft boast that each model is available with multiple circuit options which should provide the exact fluid cooler for specific requirements.
The bronze medal winning Heatcraft Slim Contour electric defrost unit cooler features a space-saving design that the company expects will offer enhanced serviceability with removable motor cassettes for maximum medium and low temperature cooling performance for Foodservice, Convenience Store and Supermarket applications. The company further claim that the unit cooler, which is less than 11 inches from top to bottom, is 30% smaller than traditional unit coolers in the market today, while the integration of a new coil design leads to the Slim Contour electric defrost unit cooler using up to 40% less refrigerant than standard unit coolers.
“Heatcraft continuously dedicates its research and development resources to design products that add value to the Refrigeration industry, whether it is through ease of installation and enhanced serviceability, increased energy efficiency and refrigerant reduction, or unique solutions that solve customer problems and optimize their total cost of ownership,” commented the vice-president and general manager of Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, Larry Golen. “We are proud to be recognized with Silver and Bronze ACHR News Dealer Design Awards for our innovative products and solutions that are developed to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
