CHINA – Swegon China has inked a contract to supply air handling units and comfort modules to almost 130,000 m² of office buildings in the business district of Shanghai.

The Shanghai Great Nature Investment & Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Meidao Investment Co., Ltd have ordered a total of 19 large Gold air handling units with rotary heat exchangers and 2242 Parasol comfort modules including room controls as part of a project to upgrade their air quality.

The office complex is located in the core of the Hongqiao Business District in West Shanghai. The complex encompasses 11 buildings in total, while each building will be LEED Gold certified upon completion of the project.

Meidao & Great Nature stated that they chose Swegon due to the high energy efficiency of their Gold air handling units and also the indoor comfort and flexibility provided by the Parasol comfort modules which they hoped would help them attain the LEED Gold status. Swegon claims that they will be able to deliver, possible chiller savings of over 3 million CNY to the customer, using this combination of products.
